U-8 A Division

2:8 lost to BW Gottschee Cosmos A; 3:2 won against Met Oval/SABA; 8:5 won against Brooklyn Mariners; 4:9 lost to Brooklyn Patriots in semi-final.

U-8 C Division

6:2 won against Asphalt Green; 6:2 won against BW Gottschee Cosmos D; 7:1 won against Islas Malvinas; 10:7 lost to BW Gottschee Cosmos C in semi-final.

U-11 A Division

7:1 won against Silver Lake SA Cosmos; 3:1 won against SC Gjoa Red; 3:5 lost to Chelsea Piers; 2:4 lost to Islas Malvinas in semi-final.

It was the first participation in such tournament for U-8 A and C Divisions and first time for U-11 as an A Division. What a great outcome for all three teams to get to semi-finals! If you have never attended such a tournament, you cannot imagine the challenge the players faced. Because of the boards, the enclosed field adds an increased pace for players and tension for spectators . So, congratulations to teams and coaches on getting this far and thanks to parents for their support before, during, and after the tournament.

The team tied the first game (3:3), lost the second (3:1) and the third (2:0). Congrats on the tie and good job at maintaining an insignificant goal difference!

Game 3 4:1 win
Semi-Final 1:1 tie followed by sudden-death shootout; Brooklyn Patriots went first and missed; Y. Veksler (team’s captain) scored.
Final 1:1 tie followed by sudden-death shootout; JIGS scored; Y. Veksler (team’s captain) scored; second try, R. Rustamov (goalie) saved the goal and A. Yerzhanov scored.

Last weekend = Last games in CJSL Fall 2011. Although U-8 C Division lost 1:3 to Brooklyn Mariners FC Genesis and U-11 B Division lost 1:2 to Coney Island Cyclones Eagles, it is time to let go of goals not scored, reflect on unfortunate game results, improve tactic, and get ready for CJSL INDOOR TOURNAMENT. CJSL GAMES RESULTS 12/03 and 12/04

It was a final game for U-8 B Division this Saturday. Not only did they win, 4:2 against Real Guadalupe FC Hawks, but they made history being the newcomers and taking the first place in CJSL Fall Season. Congratulations to the hard-working team, dedicated coach Elshan, and supportive parents!

U-12 B Division played their final games over the weekend. Unfortunately, they lost: Saturday 1:2 to NY Stars Premier U-12 Black and Sunday 1:6 to Kosmos Greek Americans 2001. Nevertheless, keep in mind: “We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated.”

U-11 B Division won 9:0 against Staten Island United Bulls. The team, coach Elshan, and parents dedicate this game in loving memory of Michael Gayzidorsky. You may view the whole game by clicking on the link below (the video is also placed on the side bar in Our Videos).

U-8 C Division tied 1:1 with SC Gjoa White on Saturday and lost 2:7 to Brooklyn Mariners FC Genesis.

Congratulations go out to U-8 B Division (5:1), U-8 C Division (3:2), and U-11 B Division (5:0).

U-12 B Division scored one goal; its opponent scored eight goals. Hopefully, words below will comfort some and encourage others
